Bacchus Cottage

Bacchus Cottage

We proudly present this brand new cottage named “Bacchus,” also known as “The Countryman’s Welcome,” built at the heart of the property of the medieval manor of Ourville Park (a historical monument) in Saint-Lo d’Ourville near to Portbail (west coast of Cotentin), in the municipality of Barneville-Carteret.

It meets the standards for handicap accessibility.

Wood floor, tile, lime plaster, and ancient wooden beams will give you, along with the great fireplace, all of the authenticity of the old inhabitants of Cotentin.

You will be located on the site of Ourville Park, ancient knightly fiefdom of thousand-year-old origins.

You will also be able to enjoy the 140 hectare farm and discover our organic milk cow and sheep raising operation as well as our horses, pigs, and other barnyard animals . . .

The close proximity of the beach and the dunes of Cotentin (3.5 km from the manor) as well as the multiple activities proposed in the surrounding area (horseback riding, golf, hiking, sailing, fishing, historical tours, coastal towns, etc . . . ) are for you and your family the promise of a vacation either calm or active, but either way, restful, refreshing, enriching, and why not…gourmet with our fresh farm food!

With “Bacchus Cottage” you have at your disposal a private courtyard, a grassy area, and you can take advantage of the gardens of the Manor.

On the ground floor, you will find a room with a fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen (fridge, microwave, oven and stove, dishwasher…), a bedroom and washroom conforming to handicap standards.  Upstairs, a loft area includes two bedrooms and a bathroom.

For the possibility of staying for a weekend in the off-season, just ask!

Less expensive and more comfortable than a mobile home! . . .
